Powerman Maiden got 11th placing

Alhamdulillah (Thank You God), I got 11th placing, almost Top 10, just 1 minute behind Chan who's in 10th placing. Congratulation to Amirul who manage to get Top 6, proud of you man! I'm so excited when writing this blog. I don't expect anything high but just want to do the best that I can make in my first Powerman. For 2 months I trained, including the MUDS training just for this Powerman. I'm glad it finished with a satisfying result. Thank you to all especially my buddy Chan, Amirul and Amad for always be my greatest inspiration to keep on training and never give up. Not to forget my family, abang Alang, teammates and friends that always wishes for the best before and during the event. Thats all I can share for now.

Thank You.

PowerMan To Be #2

Taken during cycle training to Putrajaya. Very easy to find me.

10 more days before D-Day of Powerman. 3days left for strength + hard training then 1 day break for Raya Haji, 3 days for brick training and left will be my taper period. I know taper should be a week but I'm lacking of time. I need to train before this Powerman distance, 11km Run - 64km Bicycle - 10km Run. This is my first Powerman. Unlike previous years, I didn't have the chance to participate because the date always clashed with final exams. I know nothing about the road, the weather, what it's look like to run bike run in a long distance. MUDS is a sprint event and has a short distance rather than this.

Can I survive? Will I suffer during the bike course? What happen running 10km after the bike course? Will I finish it strong? 4 years of being a multisport athlete still I don't have all this confident. Maybe I'll just do this for fun, gain experience and will try harder next time? Nope I don't want to do that. Plus I don't want to be left far behind from my teammates especially Chan and Amirul. So, they are my strength now, my courage to keep on training in this short period.

Just now I read one of my runner sister's blog and she felt unhappy with people who just can't accept her achievement. Although I don't really know the truth story about it, but I can barely understand the situation based on her second updated post, about her experienced during last event of Half Marathon. She did well and manage to achieve her PB *Personal Best. For me, she deserve it cause she didn't skip her training, calculated her pace and have good target also she did plan very well for things she have to eat and drinks during event. Yes she deserve it after all her hard works.

Friends are friends, always supporting theirs without care if the truth were correct or wrong.

I've been up once and down back to the basic after knee injuries. After recovered, I started back training. All the persons who are behind me before, now is leaving me behind. I don't blame them, in fact I did make it as a positive encouragement for me to keep on training and never give up. Train smart and slowly I manage to pace with them back. Never make other's achievement a treat for us, make it as a courage for us to keep on training. That is all wise thing I guess I can say for now. I realize that I've use so many "keep on" words here, so I hope it will be my prayer and will help me during event. InsyaAllah.

As my appreciation for your time spent, I want to share to you about core training that I learnt from Kannan Murugasan, the Ultraman Malaysia finisher. I think the only Ultraman finisher that Malaysia has. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Leaning on the wall

1. Find a flat wall
2. Lean on the wall with your back
3. Lower your leg until it curved almost 90 degree.
4. Make sure your knee not crossing the tip of your toe.
5. Try to hold for a minute. (The longer you can hold, the better)
6. Stand up straight and rest a minute.
7. Try again for second sets.(make it minimum 2 sets or more)

Doesn't need trainer ball to do this, just wall. Free and effective.
Your leg will be the same like he did and knee not crossing the tip of his shoe/toe.

This training will help you strengthen you leg and try to do this in a week. You'll feel the different on your leg during you next training. This will help you to improve your running and also cycling performance. All the best guys.

Thank You.

PowerMan To Be

2nd Trial for my Bike Fit.
Taught by Chan Jun Shen.

Less than 2 weeks will going to be my race for Powerman. Today early in the morning, our UPNM club officially started our training and I still haven't plan any training program yet. We just followed like the previous training we did for MUDS but still it need to be centralized.

I'm planning:
Morning - Cycle with 30 minutes session and brick afterwards for 20-30 minutes.
Evening - Running since UPNM track will pack with students jogging around the campus making us hard to cycle along the road.

still need to discuss everything with my teammates. Will do it by this evening.

My running coach from adination Shah Alam, Syahidan Alias post a song, to me a very inspirational songs sang by Bruno Mars - Today My Life Begin.

Bruno Mars is my favorite singer and he sing all songs that he wrote by himself, same like Taylor Swift who also one of my favorite singer. This song has brighten my day. Hope you'll feel the same too. Cheers.

Thank You.

My First Football Jersey

I dont play football cause I don't love one. Even in my family, I'm the only one who doesn't care about football like others did until I met the girl in my life. So, I named this jersey with our combination name and the number 1 symbolize for my 1st time winning 1st place during MUDS 2011 last two weeks. Watching football game was my dream since primary school and my father promised to bring the 3 of us (me-2nd and 3rd) to watch football at Shah Alam Stadium but he just too busy with his job. We did understand his situation, working hard to raise our big family.

Nice font, good material with great color *Malaysia* This is my new T90 Nike football jersey and I'll be wearing this during our inter-faculty tournament tomorrow. By the way, I play as a midfielder not a goalkeeper.

Match between Kedah and Selangor. Kedah won .
I felt less sad maybe because you were around :)

After a long silent Months

Too lazy to update. Months past back, I have my industrial training at May till early August. That was my first experience living in engineer's life, doing industrial jobs, learnt how to communicate with clients and staffs. So many experience to be share, finding a house for rent, since the job place are quite far from home in Shah Alam, borrowing my junior's motorcycle for transport and so many civilian things. I faced 9 road blocks for riding a 'hot stuff' Yamaha 125 despite not having motorcycle license. My training during the industrial training with Adination Shah Alam made me and Amirul improved a lot in our running skills. The team is coached by Syahidan Alias, one of the Adidas Runner Team. I manage to do my PB during Standard Chartered KL Marathon with timing of 3:33:26, placing no 53 out of thousand participants.

Showing the banner we did for completing SCKLM 2011 inspired by Syafidan Alias

After finished industrial training, camp life came back after 2 months plus living outside in civilian life. It was fasting month in August and training just keep on continued like nothing had happen. We march, we do all those physical training stuffs and sports training like we're not fasting at all. This how military train us to be. Always prepare in every kind of situations possible. There's no reason to be weak just because you are fasting. During night we trained according to our training program as preparations for MUDS after Raya Festival. For almost 2 month we trained for MUDS, running on the field, uphill, cycling, intervals and core training. This year UPNM will be one of the organizer since we've perform so well during last year event with Chan entitled as Duathlete of the year 2010.

Me - Chan - Mirul - Amad
This year mission, we want to conquer all those 4 trophies, Duathlete of the year Man, Woman, Best University and Top University. First leg in our home ground, UPNM, we loss to Ong Wei Xiang and Gan Chau from UTM with Chan, Mirul and  Mizi in 3rd - 4th and 5th placing. I manage to get 8th placing right behind Edan, my running coach and Tuan Farid, senior in UPNM Endurance Club. Right before I crossed the finishing line, I just realize that Ain were around supporting me like crazy. I thought that she'll be going back to Kampung and didn't have chance to visit me during my event. As always, she love to do surprise appearance during my events. Thank you dear love for coming by and I'm sorry for not winning any medal that day.

Second leg was in UPM. I need to harder my training program since I didn't do well during last event. I did my CTS training program suggested by Chan. Its a very good program and can be done indoor and outdoor. I just bought a new bicycle trainer and new meter with cadence by using my yearly bonus. I don't mind spending my money just to perform well in my event. I want improvement, no more no 6 (Last year I got 6th place in all three series of MUDS 2010). I trained night and days, on the field and  A day before UPM, I have several flu. I don't want to be caught by fever at time like this. Quickly went to RSAT to get medicine and vitamins. I ate double vitamins C at that night just to cure myself from flu. On the next morning, I felt a little bit better.

That time, my girlfriend really cant make it to the event, but its fine with me since abang Alang was there to support me. During the event, I ran behind the front pack and maintain the distance. During bike course we manage to O-group with our team, working together until managed to chase the front pack. The last hill of UPM track was a killer for me. I was separated 50m behind. Continued with running course, again like last year, I've miscount and finished the race with 6th placing (AGAIN). Earlier, I thought I was on the 5th placing. Sad.

Sad after knowing my place

Final Leg gap in two weeks unlike the two series gap for a week because UM were having their convocation on the next week. Two weeks time inspired me to train even harder. This time I want to break my fear on hilly track. I don't want to loose again. This might be my last year of doing MUDS with UPNM since I am now in my final year. So, I want to at least got 1 medal for me. Actually I want to make it as a birthday gift to my brother, Alang Bendahara. For a week and a half, I do hilly cycle training, Up and Down, Up and Down at RMC hill. Time improving day by day. All those pain I had during training, I just hold myself to stand with it. Chan always said that "Good Rider always counter their pain".

With My Ride

This time I'm bringing you along Bukit Cinta so that I wont fall in love with the hill when looking at you :D

D-Day in UM, the final leg, I change plan to register under men open. I thought of winning this event but after knowing that 2 elite athletes from Sg Udang will be joining too in the same category, I just pray to God and felt sorry if I've accidentally been greedy. Not to worry with my training program, I just planned to finish the race not far behind this 2 commandos. There were 2 loops of running, 2 loops of cycling and 2 loops of running again after cycling. 1st loop the elites were front but not too far. There were so fast, even Ong Wei Xiang was running beside me. During 2nd loop, I can keep up with the commandos and Ong was speeding front.

Just before the transition area, I manage to catch up with Chan and Amirul, and we all came in the transition area at the same time. Their transition was so fast making me couldn't catch up with them anymore. 1st loop, still can see Amirul Chan and Mizi in front pack with Ong chassing behind. Right before the last hill of 1st loop cycle, Ong slowing down, making me in front of him together with Haziq and Kicap. I felt great during my hill cycle and didn't felt any pain. Maintain with the current placing, I continued to finish the 2 loops round before realize that I was the 1st men open to arrive the finishing line. It is so great for me to finally get the medal that I've been training for all this time. I ran to Mirul and Chan, hugging them, saying thousands of thank you. Sir Anand and Chan's father was so happy for me and I've made them proud. I can't believe myself beating the two elites that i was afraid earlier.

Men University 1st - Men Open 1st - Powerbar Duathlete of The Year 2011

Men Open - Mine, Men University - Amirul

A bit sorry for myself because I didn't have the chances to get a prize when my best two supporters are around. Happy Belated Birthday Abang Lang. Dear Love thank you for keep on supporting me all this time. I love you. Thank you to Chan and Amirul, my training buddy for always taught me in improving all my performances and my coach, Syahidan Alias for introducing me to a good running program Not to forget Lim Shimri for lending me you rim bicycle when I have problem with my Xero Lite, staf Jasmi, UPNM coach for all the training programs that been organized so well and not to forget all who I didn't mention here. Without you all inside me, my mind will be silent, no rush for me to push myself to the limit.

4 Tri Paku - 2 Sg Udang - 1 UPNM - 3 Sg Udang - 4 UM

4 UTM - 2 - 1 - 3 - 5 (UPNM)

With our Club Advisor, Coach and all the 4 trophies we had won. Mission Accomplished!

Thank You so so much for reading all of this. Next event will Perak Suunto Orienteering Competition at Perak right before PowerMan Duathlon event. Till the next post.

21st Birthday Celebration

Thanks God, it's been 21 years now Ive been living in this world. Wo 21 sui! (Im 21 years ols) Higher the age comes with greater responsibilities. Hope I'm enough mature to handle all of it. I didn't realize what have I done all this years to receive such an appreciation like this on my 21st birthday. My club, UPNM Tri Team made a surprise party held in the academic block. There were also Kak Julie joining in the party. I've been thinking for 3 years I've been in the club and met such an amazing and good people. They all are great. Thanks guys for doing all of this. Xie Xie!

As you can see, the cake was square in shape and believe this was my 1st time I have a birthday cake shaped like this. What's more happier was the candle. It's written the H.A.P.P.Y B.I.R.T.H.D.A.Y, 1 by 1 of the candles :P They said both Mickey and Minny are me and Ain and they use my nick as the name. Haha I don't know what to say. ABG LANG, he sponsored my birthday cake. Tq big bro! I Love it very much!!

Shenri Dangou (Birthday Cake)
Shi Hao Pengyou
Last week I got weekend or 3 days and met abang Lang for the 1st time after my birthday. Me, bg lang and also amirul went to the Mid and Garden just to walk around, looking for my running shoes and stuff. There were Polygon booth at the Ground Floor and we met Wong Ah Tiam, Powerbar Elite team. One thing that surprised me was the new technology of Gear Bike on bicycle. They are now wireless!!! There's a button on top of the gear side and the signal will be sent to the receiver at the bottom side of the bike to change the gear. Great inovation!

The Black box was the receiver. Cool huh!? It cost for 8K something. Just for the gear sets only ;)

This is the bike. Just thinking about the bike, if the gear set yet to be RM8K, what do you think of the whole bike price?
Before sending us back, we went to the Ceruk Kampung warung(stall) to have some dinner. Abang Alang treats! Tq big brother :)

Abang Alang gave me this as a Birthday present. Oakley Radar (xpnah dpt hadiah camni)

All my birthday gives. Thank you all!! <3 you :x
Wireless mouse - from me myself :P
Gucci Tie + Cufflink button - Kak Julie
Orange Pilot Opt - Special girl in my life
Scalar Pendant Energy - Bff Chan Jun Shen
Oakley Radar (Full sets) - My dear big brother Abang Alang

I changed my K810i housing to a new one, make that as my birthday present too hehe

Thank You.

Desaru Triathlon 2010

Sekarang ni baru aku paham apa perasaan Chan selama dia bermain Triathlon.

Geng2 Ultraman UPNM

Mirul Cemas semakin hari semakin Riang. Ada rahsia..

(baru abis 1 loop, kene continue lagi 1 loop)

Mr. Chan kata orang ramai komplen race start awal sangat x sempat nak bangun :P Haa ni amik ko jam 10  baru nak start. Matahari pun da start nak tinggi. Panassss tapi ombak nampak cam tenang2 je. Rasa boleh makan la kalau nak berenang ngan ombak camni. Desaru famous ngan ombak dia yang tinggi2, tapi harini elok pulak, kira bagusla camtu.

2km jarak berenang bersamaan 2 loop.

Hahaha agak2nye kalau masuk lagi satu loop kene bape lame lagi nak kene berenang? Sejam? Layankan saja. Complete 2 loop berenang terus lari naik ke pantai sampai ke transition area. Kat sini aku saja nak amik masa lama biar aku sempat pakai compression socks yang aku baru dapat masa Newton Run minggu sebelum tu. Aku rasa biar aku korbankan masa sikit janji kaki aku tak cramp masa basikal ngan lari nanti. 6-7 minit gak melepak kat situ basuh2 kaki, pakai compression socks amik basikal dan sambung balik race.

Dah sejam masa berlalu dari waktu awal race start, Basikal pun dah tak banyak kat trasition area tadi, means aku da masuk group2 belakang la ni. Among UPNM aku 2nd last after mat black yang masih melepak kat trasition area (lagi lama lepak dari aku). Time ni aku try catch up dengan Mek yang tak jauh depan aku tapi takleh stay lama2 cause aku tak sekuda macam mek. Cuaca panas gila tak ingat. Selamat air kat bottle cage full tank (siap isi Endurance Powerbar buat bekalan badan nnt).

Transition Area

Panas teramat dan aku sangat berhati2 time ni cause taknak cramp disamping memantainkan kayuhan aku so dat tak lari dari average time yang aku tetapkan. Pertengahan 2nd loop, aku dah mula dapat rentak, terus aku continue kayuh. Sempat la jugak potong Ikhwan dan Hamsani (teammate UPNM) masa 3rd loop.

Average kayuhan selama 3 loop = 29.7km/h

Aku teringat cara dia berlari and step yang dia amik. Terus meluru aku kedepan, rasa macam tengah drafting chris kat sebelah (walhal tgh lari sorang2) :P Berbekalkan PowerGel yang aku bawak, aku try catch up dengan cibon then paan, hudha pastu mek.

They like doing their affords without asking for any pay. Memang best. Every water station aku berhenti untuk dapatkan bekalan air, 2 teguk air dah memadai, yang lain buat basahkan badan.

2 Powergel dah aku tibia masa larian. Tak berdaya nak menahan lapar, aku rembat 3 bijik pisang n makan sambil berlari2 anak. Masa ni legaaaaanyee laaaa raseeeeee. Rasa cam zat2 potassium pisang terus menerus serap daam badan and aku rasa cam ada tenaga sikit nak setelkan kilometer terakhir larian ni.

Mujur aku beli topi sebelum sampai kat Desaru, walaupun topi biasa tapi besar maknanya masa larian tu. Aku rasakan duit yang aku expense buat beli barang2 keperluan masa race semuanya berbaloi, aku pakai sebaik mungkin. Aku nampak dah sikit zat2 Triathlon ni setelah 3 tahun berkecimpung dalam sukan ni. Syukur Alhamdulillah. Pengalaman ni memang menarik! Cubala! :)

Happy 53rd Independence Day

Assalamualaikum salam 1 Malaysia.

Bermula jam 3 pagi hingga 5 pagi. Kemudian kami bersahur dan menunaikan solat Subuh berjemaah bersama-sama. Walaupun di awal pagi tetapi sambutan sangat menakjubkan. Ibarat suasana bertarawikh.

Kelmarin ahad, kami dibenarkan keluar bandar setelah 3 minggu dikurung dalam kem =P Memandangkan sayangku intan payung tak boleh nak keluar, so aku pun g la keliling KL tu
dengan berjalan. Dari Plaza Rakyat, singgah ke Mydin, berjalan ke Masjid India then ziarah SOGO and jirannya, Pertama Kompleks. Pastu da boring, g naik train lepak kat Masjid sebelah VI kt Hang Tuah, rehat2 jap, pastu jalan g Times Square sebelum round2 kat LowYat. Heheh puas hati! biar! kne jalan jauh2 pun xpe janji dapat tenangkan hati yang sedikit terkilan ni (x dapt jumpe die) hehe.

10 hari lagi nak habis Ramadhan, makesure Zakat dibayar, tiket dah dibeli dan tak hilang, duit sentiasa disimpan ditempat yang selamat, keselamatan diri kene diutamakan, even tercalar sikit pun kene dielakkan and kuih raya make sure lebih 6 balang, cos nnt aku nak datang umah korang beraya bantai kuih raya! hehe!!! Last but not least, jangan lupa isi minyak and kad touch n Go dan bawa kenderaan dengan selamat, ingat orang yang tersayang.

Salam Ramadhan, Salam Merdeka, Salam 1 Malaysia.

Ps : Esok ada test EMF, doa2kan, insyaAllah.

Thank You.

Ramadhan Past Present

Hi all I'm back again after a long break. Apparently my laptop had just been repaired after it broke down 3 months before. So here I am with a lot of stories but can't think of which one to tell about first. Well I just watched Gridiron Gang movie acted by Dwayne Johnson or we always call him 'The Rock'. Yes! I love his acting. He always act on something that give a very high moral values to audiences. He has a very good spirit, well behave and smart muscular body heheh :P

Some good summary about it, In the Kilpatrick juvenile detention center, the supervisor and former football player Sean Porter sees the lack of discipline, self-esteem, union and perspective in the teenage interns and proposes to prepare a football team to play in one league. He is supported by his superiors and his successful experience changes the lives of many young kids from bad to a better person. He used the esprit de corps in team to change their attitude problems. The movie is based on a true story.

"In this game you don't do it your way, you do it my way."
"You all are losers, that's why you're here, but in Mustang, you're the winner."
"Will you accept the Mustang challenge?"

Today is already 4th of Ramadhan and so many changes on our daily schedule such as morning parade, dinner our and rocall parade. Now I usually awake around 4 o'clock in the morning just to get ready for my sahur and waking my room mates up. The class were all the same like always except you needn't to think about break hour anymore. To me it helps me to be a lot more focus in class. Thanks God I got 18 over 20 in EMF quiz and full mark in Analog. I've set my target to strive the best in this semester so that it won't stop me from doing my Ironman in Langkawi next year (2011).

The military activities were also the same. TTS (Tempur Tanpa Senjata), PT, drills or parade , just name it, it all runs normally regarding of the fasting month. Its a month full of physical and mental challenges. Currently I missed my Family very much and I always look outside the window and ask whether somebody would came in and visit. I would be much grateful

Last week we were told that we'll get an extra overnight this weekend regarding of our achievements at MUDS but yesterday we were told that it has been canceled. Last minutes call. Damned all the well planned to break fast at home and so on. Quite frustrated but i know holiday for us was just a bonus and it can be taken back anytime the authority want. Ohh! about the MUDS, we won all those 3 trophies. The Best Universities, Top Universities and Men Best Duathlete.

Me manage to maintain 6 places in all the 3 series :P 666 evil me!? :D The MUDS 2010 were held at the different places that were my university, UPNM, then UM and final were at UPM.

Result at UPNM (6)
Result at UM (no6 again)

UPNM Triteam 2007

Gawai Hols!

The feeling getting deeper whenever time for holiday. I wish she's here picking me up or at least will be waiting there at her home and for sure your will be my first place to visit without doubt dear. Long distance relationship. Sometimes it need a lot of sacrifices. No matter how hard it was, I will hold this to the very end :)

I love you

I was planning to send my Lenovo to the factory but didn't have ample time yet. It can't charge like always and can only use battery as their main power. If only I didn't put my laptop near the window, the rain won't spread to my laptop :( For the time being I am borrowing my room mate's laptop. Hard time for me to update my blog and FB.

Yesterday I took my brother from UM for weekend holiday and asked him to join me and my 4th brother to swim at Pusat Akuatik Shah Alam. Amirul and his brother, Ekhwan joined too. Amirul and I teach our brothers on how to do basic breast stroke and free style. Indeed they were pretty quick in learning all the skills. After 3 hours of training we ate at the cafe nearby before went home to have some BBQ chicken party at house. (Party only with my BIG family) because it was a BIG family so I said it as a PARTY :)

Early this morning my dad woke me up, asked me to look after the van. Quickly have a bath, change and ate up some breakfast before rushed to the workshop with my brother. For 3 hours I got a quick lesson from the repairman about the van engine. It was quite interesting. The repairman showed me one by one from the battery to the engine to the spark plug and coil. Fuhh better be proud to whom now taking mechanical. You all were learning subjects that are very realistic and amazing.

Thank You.

Rajin Day

I woke up early in the morning just to assure myself to have some breakfast before went to physical training. Normally I woke around 630! but this morning was 545 yeahehe :D even my housemate couldn't believe that it is me who woke him up :P

Then I have ample time this evening because of the heavy rain. So everyone were allowed to stay in their room and do their own work (normally it will be sleeping zzZZZzzZZ) but not for me ;) I washed clothes including my drill uniform and shoes and even shine it. I know I know I was not being me :P hehe but yes I'm feeling that my adrenaline was so active today.

It doesn't end there yet, I did some PT with dumb bells and weight leg and did some running around the pavilion plus climb up to the boy hill and ran down with time of

09' 25" 89

Next time I'll do the same activity but with greater record than today.

I am still feeling good with my body fitness and went to the gym to try some extra cross training. I also learn on how to build up shoulder muscle from my friend, Thanks dude!! Then I end up with climb up the stairs instead of using lift to go back to room. Before rest I took some recover Powerbar just to recover all my fatigue muscle that been used for early preparation of tomorrow's activities. That's all I want to share!

*Baby I love you <3 hihi

Thank You.

One whole week Hols!! (3)

...continue

At first we (me and bglang since mirul didn't joint cause he got some job to be done) plan to watch Robin Hood at Wangsa Walk but the time was not suitable as today is Friday and we all muslims have Friday Prayer, plus I need to go home before 7. So since we cant watch movie, we have bfast at Popeye's, yup never heard of it (that's why we try).

Called Amad and Chan to join us 'jalan jalan' and have a bit lunch with Big Boy's famous bun, MEXICAN BUN!!!

Nyumm!!

Spontaneous Plan, we went to the Putrajaya Extreme Park situated at Persint 5. Great place i should say. Start from the entrance, there is small roundabout and there I can see the x-game (skate, bmx) park and few people playing all over the place. About 30 meters ahead , then we found the wall climbing place. It's in a big building.

Maybe when you see this picture, you thought it was just not as big as you imagine. Believe me, It's BIG.

"the largest lead competition wall ever built in Asia"

Try la! best =)

Thank You.
